Job Summary of Area Manager:
Responsible for protecting people, assets, and brand reputation in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment. This role supports store leadership by implementing strategies that enhance safety, mitigate risk, and reduce inventory loss. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and external partners to maintain a secure and customer-focused environment that aligns with company values and business objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Area Manager:
- Partner with store leadership to develop and execute asset protection strategies that reduce loss and improve safety.
- Conduct investigations and leverage resources to identify and resolve criminal activity within assigned store locations.
- Analyze inventory trends to identify shortage risks and recommend actionable solutions.
- Assign and oversee appropriate asset protection resources such as personnel and technology.
- Adjust team priorities and operations to meet changing business and customer needs.
- Provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance and build capability in asset protection practices.
Qualifications and Experience of Area Manager:
- Experience providing asset protection leadership, including coaching, development, and performance management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to apply learning quickly and adapt behavior to support strategic goals.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Analytical thinking to uncover root causes and explore multiple solutions to problems.
