Asset Protection Coordinator
Job Summary of Asset Protection Coordinator:
Responsible for protecting people, assets, and brands by identifying and mitigating external theft and fraud trends across multiple store locations. This role supports a culture of safety and security, working cross-functionally and in collaboration with law enforcement agencies to investigate and resolve theft incidents while educating store leadership and associates in prevention practices.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Asset Protection Coordinator:
- Identify, investigate, and mitigate external theft and fraud trends across designated stores.
- Utilize surveillance systems, reporting platforms, and data analytics to resolve incidents involving habitual offenders and high-impact theft cases.
- Train and coach Store Leaders and Brand Associates on theft response protocols, safety procedures, and loss prevention systems.
- Collaborate with internal partners and local law enforcement to build and prosecute cases involving habitual or aggressive offenders.
- Serve as the liaison with prosecuting attorneys to support successful case outcomes that meet local and state requirements.
- Contribute to the implementation of emergency preparedness and threat mitigation strategies.
- Ensure operational compliance and support the execution of shortage and safety programs.
Qualifications and Experience of Asset Protection Coordinator:
- Proven ability to lead and influence loss prevention strategies and results across multiple teams or locations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience building consensus and influencing stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Experience in investigating incidents, analyzing root causes, and building case documentation.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply safety practices, legal protocols, and training methods.
- Demonstrated ability to train and onboard new team members while fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace.
