Job Summary of Accessories Merchandiser:
This role is responsible for developing and executing inclusive merchandise strategies that align with financial goals and customer expectations. Working as the commercial backbone of the product development process, this position leverages market insights, customer data, and sales performance to deliver profitable and customer-centric product assortments. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, strategic planning, and results-driven execution with a focus on innovation, speed, and inclusivity.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Accessories Merchandiser:
- Develop and manage merchandise assortments that address global, digital, and regional customer needs, aligning with overall department strategy to drive revenue and profit.
- Collaborate with Design, Production, and Visual Merchandising to ensure assortments meet customer expectations, maintain target costs, and enhance speed to market.
- Work with Inventory Management to build seasonal investment strategies, ensuring growth drivers are well-supported and big ideas are prioritized by market.
- Continuously assess in-season business performance, using sales and marketplace data to identify risks and opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Own and manage the product-level P&L to monitor performance and maintain category health through data-driven decisions.
- Lead and execute projects and programs within area of specialty, ensuring high quality outcomes and alignment with broader goals.
Qualifications and Experience of Accessories Merchandiser:
- Proven strategic and analytical skills with a focus on financial performance and customer experience.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights, influence peers, and align with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve operational or programmatic issues proactively.
- Experience in merchandise planning, product development, or a related function is preferred.
- Customer-first mindset with an innovative and trend-aware approach to problem solving.
