Playing a vital role in the team, the Sales Associate helps the Store Management Team in arranging, displaying, and managing a seasonal retail store. Their duties involve delivering exceptional customer service and assisting in daily store operations, such as increasing sales, upkeeping cleanliness, and preventing theft.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Retail Salesperson:
- Assist with the formation, showcasing, pack-down, and dismantling of the store.
- Offer outstanding customer assistance consistent with the service quality expected by the company.
- Drive sales through customer interactions that are engaging and by employing sign waving techniques.
- Uphold store cleanliness and organization standards by conducting general housekeeping duties.
- Conduct merchandising, signing, and pricing assignments to validate the correctness of product exhibits.
- Ensure smooth handling of sales transactions by operating the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently.
- Comply with guidelines for the protection of store assets and prevention of losses.
- Adhere to safety protocols by safely navigating ladders and arranging store fixtures.
Qualifications and Experience of Retail Salesperson:
- You need to have reached the age of 16 to qualify.
- Competence in ascending ladders and installing fixtures.
- Capable of carrying and moving objects up to 50 pounds in weight.
- Comfortable standing and walking for up to 8 hours.
- Robust communication capabilities paired with exceptional customer handling skills.
- Capacity for succeeding in a high-energy, seasonal retail environment.
